Spec it right. Find the parts nearby. Build it this week.
Tell RigReady what the machine has to do: the games, the office work, or the outputs, layers and codec of your show. It sizes the system, flags the bottleneck before you buy, and finds every part on Amazon, at stores near you, or through a distributor.

Specs from the vendors' own guides
Every media server recommendation is checked against the published requirements for the software you run, then against the outputs, layers and codec of the actual show.
Balanced builds, no wasted money
The builder blocks parts that don't fit and warns when a CPU will hold back the graphics card, or the other way round.
One spec, many desks
Pick a standard office build, set the number of seats and get one order list with quantities and delivery dates.
Build your gaming PC
Start from mid or high performance and swap anything. Parts that don't fit are blocked, and the summary tells you when the whole build can be on your desk.
Office PCs and workstations
Standard builds for front desks, finance teams with four screens, and CAD seats. Set the number of seats and the parts list multiplies for you.
- Buy Windows 11 Pro licences, not Home: you need it for BitLocker, domain or Entra ID join and Group Policy.
- Image one PC, test it for a week, then deploy the image to the rest.
- Wired Ethernet for desks that don't move. Wi-Fi only where you must.
- Put a small UPS on any PC that holds local files, and turn on BitLocker before handing it out.
- Keep a spare PC built from the same parts. Swapping a whole machine is faster than fixing one at a desk.
Size a media server for the show
Pick the software, then describe the show: outputs, video layers, codec, live inputs. RigReady sizes the GPU, CPU, memory, storage and network, shows which part is closest to its limit, and builds the parts list.
Edit any part
Plan an LED volume
Enter the LED wall resolution, frame rate and content type. RigReady works out how many render nodes you need, specs each one, and lists the sync, tracking and network gear the stage needs around them.
What each show system needs
Operating system, licences, GPU, storage, network and sync requirements for the media server and show control software AV crews use most, from each vendor's own documentation. Check the vendor's page before you buy: requirements change with new versions.
Describe the job. Get a system with no bottleneck.
Tell it the show, the games or the office in plain words. It knows the software requirements above, the parts catalog and your current builds, recommends a setup, and can load it straight into the Media Server calculator.
Find the part: Amazon, nearby, or a distributor
Amazon is fastest for most parts. When a part is missing or slow, check stores near you for same-day pickup, or a pro distributor for workstation GPUs, sync cards and AV gear.
Buying a prebuilt instead?
- "Gaming PC" with a GT 1030, GT 730 or RX 550: office graphics sold as gaming.
- "Intel Core i7" with no generation listed: often a 10-year-old CPU (4th–7th gen).
- No power supply brand or wattage listed: usually an unbranded unit that can damage parts.
- Huge storage claims ("4TB SSD + 2TB HDD") at a price that can't cover it.
- Windows 10, "Windows Pro" without a real licence, or a brand-new store with few reviews.
- Sold by a third-party seller with a generic name instead of the PC brand or Amazon.

Check a listing
Paste the listing title and fill in what it says. We'll flag the configs that don't add up.
Forum
Share feedback on RigReady, post your build, write a guide, or ask the community about a show that won't behave.
Build it step by step
Every step names the exact part you're installing. Change the build and the guide rewrites itself. Software setup guides from each vendor are below.

Amazon product IDs
Paste the Amazon link for each part. The page pulls out the product ID (the B0… code) so the one-click cart works. Use the official listing sold by Amazon or the brand, not a third-party seller. Your work is saved in this browser as you go. When you're done, download asins.json and send it over.
